Join us in supporting adults with developmental disabilities and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our goal is to encourage 500 people to donate $10, for a total of $5,000, which will enable us to continue our free Online Activities programming.
This pandemic has caused us to reevaluate and reorganize every aspect of our organization, from staffing to programs, to residential planning and fundraising. We are very proud of the way our amazing staff works to innovate our programs to be virtual-friendly, that we continue to harvest and donate produce to our nonprofit partners serving the most vulnerable in the community, and that construction and residential planning for Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch continues to progress. Most significantly however, we have had to re-envision our fundraising plans entirely, and have real concerns about raising enough to cover our annual operating revenue.
To proactively respond to the situation, we made the difficult decision to strategically reduce our workforce expenditures through layoffs, furloughs, pay reductions, and reduced hours. We have retained key roles to ensure that we continue to fulfill Sunflower Hill’s mission and vision of developing residential communities and providing programs and activities for our future residents and program participants.
We know that this is a difficult time for many. However, if you are able to do so, please consider making a donation this #GivingTuesdayNow, to help us continue providing our free online programming.
