Whether you’re an individual, part of a community organization, or a corporate team, we offer unique and meaningful volunteer opportunities for everyone.
Volunteer activities include typical horticulture tasks like harvesting, planting, weeding, mulching, and composting. Regular garden volunteers can also qualify to work directly alongside our program participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We also welcome collaborations with large community organizations and corporations to plan and execute significant construction projects to enhance and maintain the garden. No experience is required.

Are you interested in working with us on Saturday morning in the garden? This monthly volunteer opportunity is an excellent way to learn more about our garden and discover how your horticulture skills can make a difference. Our Saturday volunteer days warmly welcome supervised I/DD individuals and participants 13 and older. Community garden workdays may include various general garden tasks based on the season as well as larger group projects such as sheet mulching. Join us for a fulfilling and fun experience!
2nd Saturdays: 9 am to 12 noon.
**If you are under the age of 18, you will need to have parental or legal guardian consent to volunteer. Volunteers ages 13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all volunteer shifts and become a volunteer themselves by going through the application process.
Ideal for folks who would like to volunteer in the garden on a regular basis throughout the year. Folks of all abilities work in the garden on seasonal tasks which may include: harvesting, preparing garden beds, weeding, and general garden maintenance and cleanup. Volunteers are expected to be able to work independently or with the help of support staff, a caregiver or family member. If you require support staff to accompany you to the garden, please have them also fill out a volunteer application and liability waiver. A background check will be conducted after the first visit.
