Sunflower Hill Online Activities

In response to the Covid-19 Shelter-at-home Order, we have created Sunflower Hill Online Activities. Each activity is created to get you moving, learning, or just stepping outside for some fresh air!

Our heartfelt thanks to those who have supported our virtual programming: East Bay Community Energy, City of Pleasanton, Rotarian Foundation of Livermore, #GivingTuesdayNow donors, and our Sun’s OUT Fun’s OUT supporters!

Join The Team – Wear Your Face Mask
Let’s face it: wearing a face mask is NOT fun! They can feel awkward and uncomfortable, and make it hard to understand others when they speak. For adults with developmental disabilities and many others in the community, wearing a face mask in public may be difficult. In this video Teacher Becca explores common objections to wearing a face mask and how to overcome these feelings of discomfort. She also provides tips to feel more confident while wearing a face mask, so you can ‘Join the Team’ and keep our community safe!

Thanks to Robert Half for volunteering their time and expertise to help create this video!

Farmer Caitlin is in the Sunflower Hill Garden with an update on new fall plantings and the crops that have already been planted and are getting bigger every day! This week she and a few of our program participants also weighed our two largest pumpkins. Did you make a guess as to how much they weighed? Watch the video and let us know how close your guess was? Then let us know how you’re celebrating Halloween this year!
