In partnership with Pacific West Communities, Inc., Miramar Capital, Novin Development Corporation, and Ward-Young Architects, Sunflower Hill will co-develop a new residential community in Lafayette, California for people with developmental disabilities (special needs including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, epilepsy, and other chromosomal abundancies.)
The community, known as Sunflower Hill at Lafayette Lane, will contain 38 affordable rental units for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sunflower Hill at Lafayette Lane will be part of a larger development, known as Lafayette Lane, that will include 128 market-rate, for-sale units.
Sunflower Hill will collaborate with the developers and Ward-Yong Architects to advise on the design of Building 1, which is currently planned as a 38-unit affordable rental building for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Lafayette Lane site is currently a mixed-use property known as Corporate Terraces. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2023, with a tentative completion in 2026. Once complete, Sunflower Hill will provide person-centered activities for its residents and the greater community.
